Equine Massage Therapy

Common reasons owners book a session:

  1. Areas of tightness or soreness

  2. Reduced flexibility or stiffness

  3. Changes in comfort under saddle

  4. Uneven movement or compensation patterns

  5. Support during conditioning or recovery

  6. General maintenance for horses in regular work

Equine bodywork sessions are designed to address tension, restricted movement, and areas of physical strain that may be affecting comfort, responsiveness, or performance.

Each appointment starts with a review of the horse’s history, current concerns, workload, and any goals the owner has for the session. Posture and movement are then observed to identify where the horse may be compensating or working inefficiently.

From there, hands-on techniques are applied to targeted muscle groups, joints, and surrounding soft tissue to encourage better mobility and more comfortable movement. Sessions are done in a quiet, level area where the horse can remain settled and attentive.

This type of bodywork is suitable for horses of all ages and disciplines, from performance horses to older companions. It can also be incorporated alongside other care programs when appropriate.
