Schleese Saddle Fit Evaluation & On-Site Adjustments

Schleese logo.webp

Saddle fit affects comfort, freedom of movement, rider balance, and how effectively a horse can work under saddle. This evaluation process is designed to assess how the saddle interacts with both horse and rider, ensuring balance, stability, and even pressure distribution.

Each fitting begins with a hands-on review of the horse’s build, topline, and movement, along with an assessment of the rider’s position. Rather than relying on guesswork, the fitting process focuses on how the saddle functions in real conditions, both at rest and while being ridden.

Saddle fit is evaluated in motion to identify any shifting, pressure points, or restrictions that may interfere with the horse’s comfort or performance. Findings from this assessment are used to determine whether adjustments are needed to improve overall fit and function.

All saddle fit evaluations and adjustments listed here are provided through Schleese Saddlery. Margaret serves as a certified Schleese representative, and fittings are carried out using Schleese’s established fitting methods and adjustment standards.
