Saddle Fitting - 80 Point Evaluation
Margaret is a Certified Ergonomist and follows the Saddlefit4Life 80 Point Evaluation process. Here’s what you can expect:
The evaluation involves measurements of the rider, the horse and the saddle. The job of an ergonomist is to asses how two 3-dimensional, dynamic bodies fit a piece of equipment. A chalk drawing will be done on the horse to identify their specific saddle support area and help educate the rider on anatomy basics. Margaret fits based off physiology, not opinion. Each horse’s anatomy is different and requires unique saddle fit solutions.
A static assessment of the saddle will be completed and recorded following a dynamic assessment (under saddle).
Margaret will then determine if any adjustments need to be made to the saddle to improve the fit and function. If adjustments are made, the rider will be asked to complete another dynamic assessment to confirm the saddle is fitting correctly.
